Garden City Helicopters New Airport Facility Underway

Construction is now underway for a brand new state-of-the-art operations facility for Garden City Helicopters at Christchurch Airport with completion targeted for the end of 2016.

The 3-hectare site will house our scenic and commercial flight operations, and air rescue services, with a new hangar, maintenance workshops, offices and airport lounge. We will be established as a ‘Fixed Base Operator’ (FBO), which basically means we have been granted the right to offer aeronautical services such as fuelling, hangaring, tie-down and parking, aircraft rental, aircraft maintenance, and flight instruction to other operators. Those fortunate enough to have a private jet arriving on international flights will also be able to clear customs and immigration in private at the new facility.
